The inaugural Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon was held in 2006 in association with Headway Jersey. Their aims are to:
- Raise money for Headway Jersey and Seeing is Believing;
- Give Jersey-based runners an opportunity to compete in a marathon without having to leave the island.
It was a great day with over 1500 runners out there giving it their best and 400 volunteers helping
Lightmedia Displays provided the BBC with the 27 sq m Picture Box and also operated 5 cameras, two using wireless microwave connections to cover the race from all angles and capture the start & finish lines.
