Case Study – Manchester Passion

Venue – Albert Square, Manchester
Date – 2006

The Manchester Passion is a passion play about the last hours of Jesus, retold using a backdrop of contemporary Manchester music.

The event took place on the streets of Manchester, and aired live on BBC Three on Good Friday, April 14, 2006.

The event was created by the same people who created Flashmob: The Opera also aired on BBC Three.

The Manchester Passion were supplied with our Modular LED Screen solution in a variety of formats, the visual impact when accompanied with Keith Allen’s commentary was incredibly moving and impressive.

The modular LED screens were built to exact specifications supplied by the BBC. We worked alongside the organisation using our high specification outside broadcast unit for the BBC to take their feed from.

Working together is an important aspect of Lightmedia’s values. We believe that by working together and communicating is the best way to get the most out of any event and to make it a success.
