It’s been a busy year here at Lightmedia Displays Ltd.
We’ve worked with partners old and new to deliver outstanding events that have demonstrated the versatile screens we can provide. Over the course of the year, we’ve supplied our LED screens for awards ceremonies, music festivals, conferences, exhibitions, council events, private parties and sporting occasions. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. LMD have always prided ourselves on utilising our range of screens to enhance our clients’ events. Sometimes the screen is the centre of attention, sometimes it’s simply a valuable addition to an environment. Either way, our clients have confidence in our ability to deliver superb screens and camera packages to their specifications each and every time. Here are just a few of the highlights from 2015.
One of the most unusual events we attended this year was the Three Queens Event in Liverpool to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Cunard. It was an overcast day but that didn’t make the sight of three cruise liners travelling together along the Mersey any less spectacular. Thousands of people turned out for the event in May and we supplied five mobile LED screens plus camera packages to display everything to the eager crowds. We were delighted to be a part of it.
During the summer, we attended numerous outdoor events including Bingley Live Festival, Coventry Godiva Festival and Liverpool International Music Festival. Such events take a lot of effort and coordination but it’s definitely worth it to see so many people in one place enjoying themselves. We owe a lot to our technicians who ensure every booking goes off without a hitch and are often the unsung heroes of every event that LMD attends.
Two awards ceremonies that we’ve attended this year stand out in our memories. Way back in February, we supplied a modular LED screen for the NME Awards Ceremony at the O2 Academy, Brixton. With the likes of Kasabian, Foo Fighters, Iggy Azalea and Jamie T in attendance, it was a phenomenal night. Fast forward to October and we were privileged to attend the MTV EMA Awards in Milan with Justin Bieber one of the big winners of the night. That’s one of the best things about being a part of LMD – you never know where you’re going to end up next!
We’ve covered too many events this year to document them all in detail and it’s impossible to pick out any favourites. However, we’re particularly proud of maintaining our links with Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life events and, indeed, we always enjoy working with those tireless organisers, runners and volunteers who make those events so extraordinary.
Over the course of 2015, we’ve encountered so many people and we’re humbled that you’ve trusted Lightmedia Displays with your special occasions and spectacular events. We’ve enjoyed it all immensely and we hope you have too
